Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival to Seronera and game drive.
On the 1st day of the safari, your safari begins with a pickup from your preferred location, either from the airport or your hotel in Arusha and a transfer for the morning flight from Arusha (Kilimanjaro) to Seronera Airstrip in central Serengeti. This flight offers amazing aerial views of the plains, setting the stage for the excitement to come. Upon landing, your expert guide from African Vacation Safaris will meet you and then welcome and brief you about the safari and then transfer you to your camp with beautiful sightings of the wonderful wildlife.
Once you arrive, you will check into your pre-booked tented camp or lodge perfectly situated within the Seronera area. After a quick lunch, you will go on a comprehensive game drive. Seronera Valley is famous for its concentration of predators, including the lions, leopards, and cheetahs often spotted around the Seronera River or on the rocky outcrops known as Kopjes.
We will focus our search on these main areas, aiming to witness the classic predator-prey action that defines Serengeti. Later you will return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day in Seronera Valley.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will meet your safari guide and go for the full-day experience with your guide, who can track recent sightings and follow the movements of the large animal herds.
The area’s permanent water supply ensures that the wildlife remains concentrated year-round, making for exceptionally reliable game viewing. You will start with an early morning drive, the best time for catching predators while hunting perhaps a cheetah chasing gazelles across the open plains, or a lion pride finishing a nighttime kill.
Seronera river is a focal point bringing hippos, crocodiles and then various other species. You will be with your picnic lunch that allows you for increased time out in the field. The afternoon will be spent covering different sections of the valley, including the famous kopjes, which often serve as lookout posts for lions and leopards. This extensive time ensures that whether or not the Great Migration is passing through, you will still encounter the perfect number of the resident animals. Later, return to your camp for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure.
On your final day of the safari, you will wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will check out from your lodge and meet your safari guide to drive to Seronera Airstrip along the way, exiting your lodge, you have the unique en-route game viewing to sight the early risers. And once you arrive at Seronera Airstrip, you will board your connecting flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro, which will bring your Tanzania safari to an end.
