Day 1: Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater descent and transfer to Serengeti.
On the first day of the safari, once you arrive your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from the airport or from your hotel in Arusha. He will welcome you and then brief you about the safari. After you will start your journey and descent intact volcanic caldera. This unique ecosystem hosts an extraordinary dense concentration of wildlife, making it one of the most reliable places in Africa to spot the entire Big five, including the elusive black rhinoceros.
The morning is dedicated to an extensive game drive on the crater floor, increasing the time spent viewing the plentiful lions, elephants, buffaloes and vast herds of plains game that live in this natural sanctuary.
After a scenic picnic lunch taken on the crater floor, you will ascend the crater wall and continue the drive to the wonderful Serengeti National Park. The transition from the highlights into the endless plains is dramatic.
The drive to your central Serengeti camp serves as an introductory game drive, often rewarding guests with their first sightings of cheetahs or massive herds of grazers. Day 2&3: Two full days of Exploration in Serengeti National Park.
On the second and third days are dedicated entirely to Serengeti ensuring an immersive and in-depth safari experience. Depending on the time of year, your expert guide will focus the game drives on the areas where the wildlife is most concentrated. The central Seronera Valley is a key focus, being famous for its permanent water source which attracts a high density of predators, including lions, leopards and cheetahs. Your guide will use their tracking skills to locate wildlife around rocky kopjes (granite outcrops) and along the meandering river courses.

Instead of going for a long, arduous drive back to Arusha this perfect itinerary concluded with a scheduled light aircraft flight back to Arusha Airport (ARK) or Kilimanjaro international Airport (JRO).
