Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park.
On the first day of the safari, your adventure begins with an early pickup from Arusha by your safari guide from African Vacation Safaris. You will drive west, crossing the highlands and heading toward the Serengeti national park. Upon entering the park gates, you will begin an En-route game drive as you travel to your central camp or lodge. Serengeti which translates to ‘’endless plains,’’ immediately lives up to its name, offering a sense of size and wilderness unlike anywhere else. You will be travelling toward the seronera valley in the park’s heart known for its high concentration of the resident predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You will check in during the late afternoon, then relax and absorb the atmosphere of the African plains before dinner.
Day 2: Full day exploration of central Serengeti.
On the second day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast you will be transferred in the central Serengeti. Starting with an early morning game drive which is highly recommended because this is when the predators are most active before the intense hear of the day. Your professional driver guide will use their knowledge of the park and then tracking skills to look out for the best wildlife encounters.
Besides the famous big cats, you will witness large herds of the grazing animals like elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes, and then various gazelles, if you are travelling during the great migration season(seasonal), your guide will drive toward the herds, increasing your chance to witness this natural spectacle. This journey offers a stunning change of scenery as you leave the open plains and then ascend into the cooler, greener Ngorongoro Highlands.
